We cater for live steam locomotives and carriages of the inch gauges 2.5, 3.5, 5 and 7.25 on an elevated track and 7.25 on a ground level track and are open to the public every Sunday from Easter weekend to September at which time adults and children may ride on safe carriages pulled by live steam locomotives.
Prospective members are always welcome to come and see the site and the wide array of locomotives, we currently have approximately 80 members.
WRSLS can cater for private birthday parties on Saturdays throughout the summer months.
Our site amenities consist of a club house, a secure locomotive shed and turntable for 7.25 inch gauge Locomotives, a fully equipped workshop, carriage sheds, 5" locomotive sheds and various storage buildings. The club is very secure in that we have a fully fenced boundary and we benefit from the presence of 24 hour security CCTV surveillance direct to a security company from our neighbors.
The clubs annual open weekend is held in June during which WRSLS is open to the general public on Saturday and Sunday and includes free passenger travel, model engineering display, trade stands and a very good catering facility for a small fee payable at the gate. Dates to be published.
